The Aubry HouseThe Abury House Ghost Hunters New Zealand, Paranormal Investigation Team. April 2007. The occupants of this house had said that they had feelings of being watched and also that the lady of the house had seen a full tourso apparition on a few occasions. We were low on numbers for the investigation because of stomach bugs going about but the attending investigators were my Self (David Clipsom), Katrina & Caleb. We had spent a few hours earlier in the day setting up the equipment and checking picture quality from the cameras and making sure we had covered the areas with reported paranormal activity. After setting up the equipment me, Tim & Caleb went around the property with the EMF detector and digial thermometer, and also the portable video camera and digital camera. We immidiately were presented with very high EMF readings going off the scale on our simple EMF meter reaching above 6 mill-g's. Usual on investigations the needle stays at 0 or just over. We recorded this and found a pattern of this spike all the way through the house going through all the beds in which the occupants sleep. To get a comparison reading we put the EMF against the main electricity supply box into the house and got the same reading, so it was very high. Caleb, Tim & myself then went away to rest before coming back that evening under the cover of darkness. We all arrived at approx 7:30pm and the sun had gone down fast. Unfortunately Tim was taken ill and could not make it so we soldiered on and switched all the equipment on and started recording. I was keen to check out the EMF readings again but they were slighly lower that before mainly around the 3 / 4 mill-g's. This could explain the feelings of being watched etc but still does not explain the apparition seen on occasions. We took photographs and used the EVP to try to record voices but all felt quite comfortable in the house apart from the front room, where we also had the feeling that something was watching us enter. It is interesting to note that the main electrical box is right next to the doorway off the front room. After much investigation we did find that there was a electrical substation across the road from the house and a power cable passed about 10ft away from the house down the side of the house and back to some other houses and places of business. The cable followed the same path that we picked up high EMF recordings within the house. We found the investigation to be interesting and the general feel was comfortable. Nothing was caught on video (although I have not been able to fully analise each camera in detail) and we caught one long misty type orb on digital camera. Was this an apparition starting to form? So far I have not heard anything out of the ordinary on digital EVP and we are hoping to go back to the house to speak to the occupants to make them aware of the electro magnetic fields that are running down the side of the house. All in all exciting but a short investigation running approximately 5 hours. Would have been nice to leave the cameras running over night but maybe another time if things are still reported from that location. Stay tuned for our next investigation, where ever it maybe.
