GHNZ (Ghost Hunters New Zealand) was founded by Dave Clipsom in 2006 & Ghost Hunt was founded back in early 2005. GHNZ carry out paranormal investigations where hauntings or any paranormal activity has been reported. We never charge for our work and are completely self funded and non-profit making.
GHNZ (Ghost Hunters New Zealand) are the T.A.P.S Family representatives for New Zealand.
We are not out to disprove paranormal activity or manifestations. We, like many others, have a great interest in trying to explain the unexplained. There have been many cases of ghostly apparitions all over the world, many of which have been hoaxes. We want to be able to provide proof by means of genuine photographic, video and audio evidence.

Ghost Hunters Wellington Needs You?The Wellington GHNZ Crew is looking to fill 2 positions in their team, could this be you? First they are looking for a person to take on the role of Wellington Case Manager. This means dealing with the emails and case loads, communicating with clients to gain knowledge of the type of haunting, activity, where and when, who is being affected and deciding on what case will be needing the team sent too, this means relaying the infomation onto the other 3 members of the team, meaning must be a like minded individual and a team player. GHNZ Wellington is also looking for a "Investigator In Training", This person will not need to know to much about investigating, however some knowledge of the paranormal will help, also who enjoys helping others and learning new skills and information. These people both, must also have a good understanding and love of the paranormal, will need great people and communication skills, some computer skills maybe required. GHNZ is a non profit organisation and we never charge for our services, this means these are voluntary positions and would be done out of a interest in the paranormal as we all do here at GHNZ If you feel like either of these could be you then please email Jay Gibbons at wellington@ghosthunters.co.nz and be ready to answer any questions he may have for you, and supply any info he may need.

New Possible TV Series Comming in 2010. We have been approached and i am currently trawling through old footage to put together some episodes to air on NZ Television. Hopefully it will be of a good quality to keep people interested and keen to learn more about the whole paranormal field which is just a huge area to learn and so more often than not people will concentrate on specific subjects, for me it was ghosts and the spiritual side of things due to experiences whcih i have as a child. For others it is UFOs or Cryptozology. Anton our hard working webmanager of GHNZ is trying to open up a taste of what the other sides of the paranormal are for you to read and learn, and then from there you will be able to find out more information from sites dedicated to each of the subjects. Its nice to see so many people wanting to get involved, im just sorry that there have not been many investigations lately mainly due to my family and work commitments, but i have spoken to other groups to get new members of GHNZ out in the field to experience first hand what an investigation can be like, the rush, the fear and even the chase. These groups should also point out and teach the saftey which needs to be seriously considered during investigations especially in old buildings or open countryside so that no one gets hurt, lost or worse. Keep those emails coming in, Anton is more than happy to answer most of your questions and if you are interested in joining the group please do be aware that travel to locations comes out of each of our pockets as we are a non profit and i myself have put many thousands of dollars into equipment, travel and the day to day running of the group so please bare that in mind. I know there are a lot newly formed as well as tried and trusted groups out there so if you want to be added to our list of investigative groups for people to contact please email me (Dave) or Anton and we will add your group to the list. Of course for those groups this will purely be a "how to get in contact" section and i nor GHNZ can validate or approve of any of the groups conduct so please don't write in if you have a bad experience with a group listed its purely for people to be able to contact other groups.
There is a type of forum available at the moment kindly setup by Tim, and your welcome to use this to discuss the world of the paranormal which isn't just Ghosts which most people believe but includes a whole heap of topics basically which we cannot with today's science "explain as normal" so talk to each other and discuss things and who knows someone might have an answer to other peoples questions. Well i look forward to any people out there who would like to give their time to help run GHNZ while i take some time out. If you have pictures, send them in Anton and i will try to make a page for submitted pictures, movie clips and voice recordings. Preferably, can you send in a link to where the video / audio is stored that will save us having to host the larger files but pictures we can certainly host. I will be getting hold of a new GHNZ mobile number so you can text in as well, please include email addresses in the text's and we can then email back or text depending on if were out and about investigating or at HQ. I will update the site with the contact number when the card arrives. But please note this will be for text messages only, no phone calls will be picked up as the system will be purely for text messages / answer phone messages. It was a Paranormal special with a mixed bag of features including Jimmy the Dwarf reenacting the film "Ghost" Potters wheel Scene with a Hairy guy twist.
